Port Your Numbers to CarrierX

Porting numbers to CarrierX is a straightforward process and typically takes 3 business days. CarrierX can take both long-code numbers and toll-free numbers.

To begin the porting process, please complete the CarrierX Letter of Authorization for Number Porting form.

Important Note

Do not cancel service with your current provider until the porting process is complete. Canceling service early may result in the loss of your phone numbers and interrupt service.

Steps to Submit Your Port Request

  1. Download and complete the PDF form. Fill out all required fields in the Customer Information and Existing Account Information sections.

  2. List the numbers to be ported. You can either:

    • Enter the numbers directly in the Phone Numbers to Port field on the form, or
    • Attach a separate list of numbers (e.g., spreadsheet or text file) when submitting.
  3. Select your services. Choose the services you'd like to enable for your numbers (voice, SMS, or both). If you do NOT want to port SMS, please uncheck the SMS checkbox.

  4. Sign and date the form. The form must be signed by an authorized representative of the account.

  5. Submit the completed form. Email the completed PDF and any supporting documents to: porting@carrierx.com

    Important

    If you are NOT porting SMS, please include a note in the email stating that you do not want to port SMS as messaging is typically automatically ported with the numbers.
