Routing

The Routing API allows the administrators to view routing IP profiles and routing locations.

By default, the egress IP address for legB in any call going through CarrierX would be the same as ingress IP address on legA. The administrators can use the Routing IP Profile object to select an IP address for legB on their own trunks by setting the dedicated attributes on a corresponding trunk (see the in_ip_profile_sid and out_ip_profile_sid attributes of the Trunk object).

A routing location represents one of the locations where CarrierX runs a SIP switch. The location may provide information about where a call was processed, or be used to configure specific routing within a location.
